Response To Alcohol Advertising Study – The Stroke Association, UK
In response to the alcohol advertising study in the BMJ, Joe Korner, Director of Communications at The Stroke Association said: “Drinking too much alcohol is known to cause long-term harm to your health. So it is of great concern if companies are pushing against the boundaries of advertising guidelines on alcohol, as this report suggests. We know that heavy drinking can raise blood pressure, which is one of the main risk factors for stroke… (Source: Health News from Medical News Today) (More)

Kids with Addiction Issues More Likely to Play ‘Choking Game’
Six percent of 8th-graders surveyed in Oregon said they had taken part in a dangerous game where kids choke each other to produce a sense of euphoria, and researchers said that adolescents with addiction or mental-health problems are among those most likely to play. (More)
